Due to very popular demand we have added the Botafogo soccer scarf to our store. Botafogo, who´s full name is “Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas”, and is also know as “Fogão”, is a Brazilian Football team from Rio de Janeiro. The club name comes from the neighborhood where it the team was founded, called “Botafogo Beach”. The club symbol, seen on the the image, is a lone star on a badge. The Brazilian soccer team ranks 12th in FIFA´s list of soccer clubs of the 2oth Century.
After being one of the top Brazilian teams for much of the 90´s, Botafogo was briefly relegated to division two soccer in 2002. Botafogo´s current stadium, known as “Engenhão”, was built in 2007, and is currently considered one of the top stadiums in all of South America.
